Pick Your Own Farms

 

If you are looking for a great day out, that the whole family can enjoy. Then go and visit a pick your own farm. Now that summer is here, it's the perfect time. Everyone can go even if you're still in your pram! I went blackberry picking when I was only a few weeks old on Wimbledon Common. It somehow instilled in me a love of blackberries from that day to this. It's not just strawberries, raspberries and other fruits but vegetables too. It's lovely eating wonderful fresh produce that tastes fab! And think what delicious things you can make. Ice - cream, Sorbet, Jam, Fruit and Vegetable Tarts, Cheesecake or serve the soft fruit with Meringues and cream. There are Pies, Crumbles and Soups to be made. Some places may have a picnic area as well as other events. So go and visit one near you.
