There are all sorts of different careers when it comes to working with computers if you love creating and designing new things on your computer. Then you might like to be a multimedia designer.
They create interactive websites, CD - ROMs and DVD's using sound, graphics and animation.
You will need to be imaginative and creative. Knowledge of computers including software, digital cameras and scanners etc is essential.
As well as being highly technical. You will need to explain it all to someone who has little or no experience of the technical world.
So you will have to help them understand your ideas in a clear understandable way.
You will also have to cope with deadlines. So something has to be ready within a certain time. Otherwise it may cost you future work. So it is a lot of work and pressure. Which means you will have to put in extra hours to meet your goals.
You will need to keep up with new technology. It is forever changing and being up dated. Being able to work in a team or on your own is important too.
One of the great advantages is you can work in business, education which includes schools libraries and museums, entertainment which means television, film publishing and advertising.
