Colour Buddy

hand using a brush to paint on paper There are colouring pictures out that I found to be quite addictive and fascinating. Colour Buddy is a new art form for children and
adults created by Michael Harman.
The pictures are a game you have to use your imagination. The more
you colour in the more things you will spot and uncover.
They are a good way to relax. The pictures are a mass of different and individual things to colour in. Some do have a theme such as
fishing, flowers and butterflies or fashion.
When you start to colour in the pictures it is then that you see what the picture will become. Some objects you can spot immediately others you
only notice as you are colouring in, so you'll want to finish it to see what
it will look like at the end. You will also want to discover what other
objects are in the picture. This is a lot like "Where's Wally" only instead of
looking for one thing in a coloured picture, you have to find many things
as you colour in the picture, so it is much more fun.
The pictures can look like a sort of giant doodle. But they are better as Colour Buddy helps your memory, co-ordination, develops your motor
skills and helps you to solve problems. (It is apparently particularly good
for someone who has a specific type of Autism.) I think they would also
help with concentration.
You could play games with family and friends. Who can spot the most
objects? You would have to be careful to find them all. You could if you liked make up your own games and get everyone to help and join in.
Then again you can just simply enjoy colouring them in and finding the
objects.
You can download free samples to try out from the Colour Buddy website. If you get hooked and want more the site has an online shop. For more information visit www.colourbuddy.co.uk
